Some mountain bikers don't need it, for others it's an essential part to have. MTB forks have wheel axles ranging from 9 to 20MM. If you have a standard 9MM wheel on a 15MM road axle fork, you will need to purchase an adaptor. This MTB accessory is not difficult to install and does not require any special tools.
