They love it!
You found the old version too sticky in its packaging and, therefore, not easy to eat in full effort. So, concretely, how did we remedy this problem?
We added two stabilizing ingredients to our recipe:
- citric acid (already present in the old one),
- and sodium citrate obtained from lemon.
Verdict? Our 50 testers validated it with their mouths full, both in terms of taste and its melting texture... And non-sticky!
Aren't you curious to know where the fruit paste that accompanies you during your race is made? Well, if you insist! To tell you the truth, she was born in a factory in the south of France, ?our partner for fifteen years?, says Juliette, nutrition engineer.
The apple and the pear, it's French, we'll tell you about it later. Sugar too. As for the other fruits, they are imported from countries in Europe or outside where the climate makes their cultivation possible.
This is an existential question, especially when the perfume for which you have opted is called citrus, or strawberry-cranberry. Do not panic, this is not a strange mixture concocted by Gertrude, alias the-lady-of-the-canteen. No, the apple and the pear are simply the two basic fruits used in our recipe. They are chosen from the orchards by our southern supplier that we were telling you about just before.
60g of carbohydrates (=sugars) per hour of sport performed, this is what nutritionists recommend for efforts of more than 3 hours. For this 25g fruit paste, there are 21g of carbohydrates, including 16g of simple sugars. We therefore advise you to bite into your first bar after 30 minutes of activity, i.e. two per hour (or one + a gel/a bar), and in addition to an isotonic drink.
Gone are the days when you painfully ripped off the plastic with your teeth (and where you chewed on some of it on the way...). Gone are the days when you were condemned to choose between eating everything at once, or stuffing the rest in the limbo of your pockets.
Thanks to the adhesive strip, opening is easy and smooth. As for the closure, it protects your precious sesame until the next bite!
