Our AbsoluteBlack Direct Mount Oval Cannondale Hollowgram Narrow Wide Chainring 12 S narrow and wide oval chainrings, 1X Cannondale Hollowgram compatible, are designed for Hollowgram and FSA Modular cranks. Compatible with old and new models. Climb faster, pedal easier, switch to oval. Chainring tested by Silver XC World Champion Marek Konwa.

Oval chainrings don't produce more power, they increase pedaling efficiency through better power transmission. This means that you won't necessarily go further by pedaling harder. But the less force you lose, the more energy you keep, allowing you to pedal harder when you need to and thus reducing your general fatigue. That's why you can ride faster, longer and further with oval chainrings.

Studies conducted by the University of Primorska, Slovenia, show significant differences between the use of AbsoluteBlack Oval chainrings and conventional round chainrings. It is proven that using an oval chainring can provide up to a 9% increase in pedal stroke efficiency, up to 7% less oxygen consumption, 15% less breathing and up to a 10% decrease in heart rate.

Oval chainrings allow for a seamless 1X installation. Reliable, extremely light, rigid and clean.

HOW TO MOUNT A CANNONDALE OVAL DIRECT MOUNT CHAINRING :

Generously grease the crank arm's wavy shape, then place the tray so that it fits completely (convex side to the crank arm). Put a small amount of medium-strength Loctite on the threads of the bushing and tighten it with a torque of about 47-54 Nm. You will need the "Cannondale Hollowgram Spider Removal Tool KT012" or similar to open and close the spider.

Our Cannondale Direct Mount oval chainrings are designed with an offset that works best with the Cannondale Ai (FSI) drivetrain. When used on non-Ai / FSI frames, our Direct Mount oval chainrings have 3mm less offset than the original, non-Ai Cannondale chainrings. So, to get a perfect chain line, you will need to change the spacers on the BB axle and move the right crank closer to the frame.
