When you're tackling the stone slabs of the Fort William downhill track, or the most demanding terrain of the Enduro World Series, you don't have time to think about your wheels. The Deemax is designed to absorb the most violent shocks and perform at its best on the toughest terrain.
Pros and committed amateurs alike have the confidence to push their limits. Developed with feedback from our best riders, this is the toughest wheelset ever produced for passionate Gravity riders. Tested again and again, it recently brought Laurie Greenland and Marine Cabirou their first victories on the dreaded Black Snake track in Val di Sole, Italy, in the World Cup.
The aluminum alloy rim, with an internal width of 28 mm, features a triangular profile that enables it to absorb major impacts more effectively, from rock jolts to the most violent landings and the strongest compressions. Our Black Shield treatment gives it a unique finish, guaranteeing protection against scratches and abrasion. We've opted for lacing with 28 angled steel spokes (same spoke length throughout), swaged and profiled to achieve the perfect balance between vertical flexibility and strength to cope with Gravity's very high stresses. The hubs are equipped with our most resistant bearings, and the rear uses the highly reliable ID360 double ratchet system, which guarantees rapid engagement and will help you accelerate out of corners.
The wheel is designed for Boost or DH hub /axle spacing and to be fitted with 6-hole brake discs. It can be fitted with Shimano HG9, XD and Micro Spline freewheel bodies.
