Load up the van, hit the road, climb to the top of a mountain, send off on the descent, validate a new gap, drop the bike back in the van, head back to the bike park and keep the runs coming. A well-honed program that can also be combined with the craziest races. The Nomad's trademark is that it's always ready, no matter what you throw at it. The only detail to add is a rider determined to exploit its full potential.
All the travel needed for a bike equipped with a single-tee fork, capable of taking on the steepest, most brittle trails. After all, some people start a downhill World Cup with less travel!
VPP: The VPP™ suspension can be optimized to find the perfect balance between pedaling efficiency and shock absorption. The Nomad plays an exceptional role in absorbing the biggest shocks at high speed enabling its rider to engage more, with the confidence to do so on the most demanding terrain. But because it's not outdone in pedaling, going after the most remote paths won't be as much of a chore as some bikes in this class might be.
SRAM Eagle drivetrain: The new-generation SRAM Eagle drivetrain, which now equips our CC carbon models, is resolutely robust, perfectly integrated and works wirelessly. Designed around the universal constant of the rear wheel axle. Direct mounting, no derailleur hanger and a completely reworked derailleur offer a safer, more robust package than ever before.
Sensitivity and permanent grip: On the Nomad, the lowered anti-squat level reduces the kickback effect on the most pronounced high-speed shocks, improving sensitivity to maintain optimum grip, both downhill and uphill.
Control and absorption of high-speed shocks: By lowering the starting point of the ratio curve, this has also improved the influence of the rider's weight on the evolution of the geometry through the travel. The reduced progressivity provides better support and optimum control throughout the shock's travel.
Designed to last: Two short, sturdy connecting rods create a perfectly strong unit between the front triangle and the rear arm, limiting lateral flex. Simple expander pins hold the assembly together and rest on large pivot points with easily replaceable bearings, free of charge and for life. The lower link also features a grease port for optimal maintenance.
