Description
The all-new Tech 4 V4 builds on our 25+ years of experience in designing and manufacturing hydraulic braking systems. The Tech 4 uses an all-new internal seal to reduce friction, and the pivot rotates on roller bearings, reducing spring rate. The lower spring rate in turn gives a lighter lever action, reducing rider fatigue and retaining our legendary feel and modulation. The updated V4 caliper uses hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert allowing smoother movement and less maintenance, while being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.

- Shift lever integration has been improved and now offers 30° angle adjustment as well as more careful packaging and compatibility with the latest shift levers. Lateral adjustment on both sides of the master cylinder is also possible to offer a wide range of lever position options.
- Hybrid-style pistons for smoother movement and lower maintenance, and a phenolic insert to manage heat transfer during extreme use.
- The Tech 4 retains the tool-free bite point and reach settings of the Tech 3
- All Tech 4 brakes are supplied with new pads.
- The Tech 4 master cylinder offers 30% more power than the Tech 3.
- Master cylinder and caliper machined from a 2014 T6 aluminum block.
- Low-friction master cylinder piston.
- Brake lever pivot mounted on 2 annular bearings.
- Hinged clamp for easy installation.
- Adjustment knobs for lever attack (contact point) and lever clearance.
- Post-Mount standard V4 caliper, 74.2 mm center distance.
- 2 16 mm-diameter caliper pistons in stainless steel and phenolic resin (ref: HBSP432)
- 2 x 18 mm-diameter caliper pistons in stainless steel and phenolic resin (ref: HBSP433)
- Aviation hose, 5 mm diameter and 2m long.
