Description

The Sidekick hub is a revolutionary step in the field of mountain bike wheels. Designed and tested with the world's best teams and riders over several seasons, the Sidekick hub promises to improve the suspension performance of any full-suspension mountain bike. Its revolutionary freewheel mechanism disengages the drivetrain from the freewheeling rear wheel, and an adjustable dead band filters out chain rebound and vibration before it reaches the pedals, virtually eliminating pedal feedback effects on the suspension. With the drive mechanism disengaged from the ratchet ring, drag is significantly reduced. The result is an impeccably smooth ride over the roughest terrain, improved traction, greater speed and control, and reduced fatigue. Its near-silent operation immerses you in the outdoor experience, hearing nothing but the wind in your ears and your tyres on the trail.

Main features:

  • The adjustable pawl allows the deadband to be adjusted without tools between 12°, 15° and 18° to suit rider preference, bike type and terrain.
  • The chain tension filtered through the deadband ensures that the suspension is not hindered by resistance from pedal kickback, resulting in improved, smoother performance and simpler installation.
  • The durable 60-tooth ratchet with innovative push-pull pawl system provides quiet operation and reduces drag by remaining disengaged unless pedalling.
  • Reduced kickback, chain chatter and vibration mean a quieter, more comfortable ride.
  • Rock-solid reliability: World Cup-proven, fully repairable and rebuildable, so you can push your limits with confidence.
