Usage temperature :
- On all of our sleeping bags, we display the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to the European standard NF ISO 23537 - 2017.
- The comfort temperature is the lower limit of comfort in which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a standard woman and under normal conditions of use).
- Choose your sleeping bag based on it.
What are the limit usage temperatures? :
- Temperature limit: temperature limit where the user of the sleeping bag huddled is generally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a standard man and under normal conditions of use).
- We advise you to use an insulating mattress to optimize your thermal comfort.
- This sleeping bag is lined with feathers and feathers. These thermal performances can be altered in wet conditions.
However, what you need to know about temp ratures :
A sleeping bag does not produce heat but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are then, cooled and you slip into your freezing and wet sleeping bag, you risk being cold, whatever its qualities! These temperatures therefore depend on the cold resistance of the person (body size, fatigue,), his equipment (mattress insulating the ground,), his clothing (naked, underwear,), and climatic conditions (humidity, wind,) ..
For more comfort before you slip into your bag :
- Dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough).
- Heat your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, heaters, friction
- A bottle of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (if there is no risk of unexpected opening!)
- Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is transformed into heat) but without making a movement that generates a flow of cold air.
- Use a bag sheet, silk or thermal to optimize the warmth and hygiene inside your bag.
Form :
- Sarcophagus shape to optimize thermal insulation (no heat loss because of limited circulation and air intake) and compactness, implying reduced freedom of movement.
- Width at shoulders 72 cm, height at feet 26 cm in size L.
- Ergonomic hood with drawstring.
- Double slider zip, double flap (flange) in anti-cold down, side opening.
- H-shaped box structure to limit thermal bridges.
Weight and dimensions :
- Size M 850 g, user between 1m60 and 1m70. Fold dimensions: 16 x 34 cm. Volume 6.9 liters. 440 grams of feathers.
Size and thermicit :
- Try your bag before buying to choose the right size for your comfort.
- Ideally, it should not be "thrown" against the fabric, whether at the feet or the head, nor put the fabric under tension. You generate thermal bridges that dim the performance of your sleeping bag. Conversely, a sleeping bag that is too large will be more difficult to heat and will retain less heat generated by the body.
Origin of feathers :
Our traceability system allows us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitments on responsible materials. Our suppliers agree to use only duck feathers raised for their meat and feathers after slaughter. The feathers, feathers and down used for your sleeping bag come from ducks raised in China.
