Going solo doesn't have to mean having to suffer with a tiny tent and an overloaded backpack. The ultralight, semi-self-supporting FreeLite is designed for people who want to lighten their rucksack without sacrificing the volume or functionality of their tent, and make the most of their three-season adventures.
The interior: the ground sheet remains rectangular (no narrowing at the feet as with most other tents) and the interior height is 1 metre (7.6 cm higher), but 170 grams lighter than the previous version of the FreeLite one-person. The waterproof trough-type groundsheet protects against the elements, and the tent body in fine mosquito netting ensures excellent ventilation. The tent door is not curved. The new zippers are sturdier and easy to use with just one hand. What's more, they stay in the same place when closed: you always know where to place your hand to open the door, even in the dark. Convenient new pockets for electronic equipment feature corner passages for cords. Hanging storage spaces are perfect for your headlamp, goggles and other items you want to keep close at hand.
The exterior: The semi-self-supporting design makes set-up quick and easy. Super-strong DAC NFL tent poles, DuraShield™ waterproof coating and taped seams protect against the elements. The double canopy with cut-out saves weight. It incorporates a large vestibule for storing anything you don't want to keep inside. The vestibule door allows easy passage, and features a StayDry™ gutter that prevents water from dripping on you and your gear.
