The EVO5
, the latest addition to the ARVA range, puts 35 years of ARVA know-how in the palm of your hand. The compactness/performance ratio has been pushed to its extreme by the R&D team for optimal integration in the pocket of your ski pants. 50m band width, group check, marking, automatic return on transmission, interference management, the EVO5 is a concentrate of all the essential functionalities for avalanche victim rescue. Equipped with a backlit screen and a loudspeaker generating a precise and modulated sound, it will guide you efficiently to the burial zone.
Attention: Holster sold separately
FUNCTIONALITIES
- DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS. The design and ergonomics of the device have been taken into account from the beginning of the development of the EVO5 to make the handling simple and intuitive. A 3-position slider, an extra large display and a central marker button offer easy handling of the device during the search.
- EVO5, A MINIATURE DVA. The EVO5 is the smallest avalanche transceiver ever designed by ARVA. At only 11cm high and 7cm wide it is one of the most compact detectors on the market. Its size and featherweight of 170g allow it to be forgotten without neglecting its performance in emergency situations.
- DIFFERENT CARRYING OPTIONS. The EVO5 will be delivered with a carrying strap and a leash to allow the device to be slipped into a pocket while keeping a solid attachment around the waist. A holster for traditional carrying will be offered as an option.
- 50 METER SEARCH WIDTH. The search bandwidth is the width of the area "scanned" by the device when searching. The wider the search bandwidth, the larger the search area covered by the device. It is often used to compare the performance of devices.
- INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT. Interference management optimizes the performance of the searching device in an environment "polluted" by electromagnetic interference. To do this, the searching device automatically reduces the search bandwidth to concentrate on the signal of the device being searched for, ignoring the interfering frequencies. This function can be disabled by the user.
- AUTOMATIC RETURN TO TRANSMISSION. During the search, in the event of an avalanche, the return to transmit function allows the device to return to transmit automatically, without any action on the part of the user. The return to transmission is done either by timer, i.e. after a delay without user action, or by motion detector, after a delay without movement of the device.
