Arena: innovation and performance for swimmers

Arena was created in 1973 by When Horst Dassler who is none other than the son of the founder of Adidas. His goal was immediately to want to maximize the performance of athletes by creating a competition-oriented range. for this purpose, he used the Skinfit® to make the first Arena jerseys, a super lightweight fabric made to match the swimmer's forms. In 1976, the Arena hat and swimming goggles are launched. The same year the "Team Arena" composed of 10 champions won 44 Olympic medals in Montreal. In 1980, the first women's Arena jersey was launched: the Flyback®, with thin straps and an open back to give maximum comfort and freedom of movement to swimmers. The same year, the first collection for the beach was released. Since then, the brand has continued to innovate and offer materials that bring the feeling of sliding swimmers but also comfort, and good resistance over time. In the 90s, Arena follows the trend and starts making suits with the Powerskin technology which becomes the flagship material of the integral suits. Arena is today market leader and sponsors major French and international athletes. The headquarters is located in Italy and the production of Arena jerseys is carried out in China and Greece.
