The Ascendor 45:50 bag, the largest in the range, is ideal for multi-day mountain expeditions. Whether you're planning a bivouac before setting off on a summit assault, or traversing a route from hut to hut, this bag has the volume you need to carry all your gear.
This bag features a flap and zipped side openings for quick access to your gear, as well as A-shaped ski-carrying loops. It's made of 50% recycled solid fabric on the sides and base for optimum resistance to abrasion, and the rest is made of equally solid but lighter 35% recycled fabric to ensure minimal weight. Water, tear and abrasion resistant, this rugged bag can cope with all conditions.
Designed with numerous attachment points and features (ice axe holders, hydration pocket compatibility, etc.), this is the ultimate all-season mountain bag. We've kept the weight to a minimum with lightweight options, many of which are removable. The spring steel frame and internal HDPE panel can be removed so you can customize the bag's weight, stiffness and fit to suit your goals for the day. The waistbelt is also customizable with its removable straps and padding for those days when you're looking for absolute lightness.
Well-fitted and designed to give you absolute freedom of movement on demanding terrain, the Ascendor 45:50 bag features a molded snow-resistant back panel and side compression straps to properly compress and stabilize your gear. With its durable metal hook, it's easy to open and close. On days when you're looking for something lighter, you can remove the top flap entirely and close your bag with the large compression flap. This flap is designed to bring the weight of the bag closer to the body, making it more comfortable to carry. It also serves as a rope strap and protects your gear placed at the top of the bag from the elements when the top flap is removed.
