Description

The SES (Smart ENVE System) 3.4 AR Disc is the result of the cross between the design of an MTB rim and the aerodynamic profile of the SES 3.4. The Smart ENVE System is distinguished by its process of designing aerodynamic rims as an integral part of the system formed by the rider and his bicycle.

The SES 3.4 has a different geometry front and rear : the front rim is lower and wider, to increase stability in crosswinds, while the rear rim, higher and narrower, allows to further reduce the aerodynamic drag and to delay the detachment of the air flow after flow on either side of the rider and the bike.

The SES 3.4 Disc is a continuous unidirectional carbon fiber rim that is lighter than the SES 3.4 conventional braking version because it is not exposed to the problems of heating and thermal expansion at the level of the braking surface. The SES 3.4 Disc does not have a braking surface and should only be mounted with disc brakes.

The SES 3.4 Disc is therefore able to absorb the additional force exerted by the disc braking. It is also extremely resistant to shocks since it is designed in the same way as the other mountain wheels in the range. These qualities therefore make the 3.4 Disc a very good cyclocross and gravel wheel . Due to its features it turns out to be an excellent choice for road cyclists or gravel enthusiasts who want to equip their road bike with disc brakes.
