Safety carabiner with Safety Gate

HMS carabiner with safety mechanism against accidental transverse stress. This popular safety carabiner now boasts improved construction, greater breaking strength and reduced weight. It still offers double safety, with easy handling. The screw lock can only be used when the Safety Gate is open. Accidental opening is ruled out, as is unintentional rotation of the carabiner in the harness eye. This avoids any risk of dangerous transverse stress. Mammut recommends using the Smart HMS 2.0 carabiner for the Smart 2.0 belay system.
