How to choose your swimsuit
With the start of the school year approaching, you are going to start training again or you want to start swimming but you can't choose your swimsuit? The choice of a jersey is meticulous, it is not only a question of aesthetics. Indeed, a swimsuit can be chosen according to its shape, colour or material but above all according to his level and frequency of practice.
For optimal comfort, it is therefore essential to choose the one that best suits your morphology and is most adapted to your use.
The choice of a women's swimsuit
The choice of a swimsuit is meticulous and depends on the frequency of the sessions, the size and the level of practice.
Occasional swimmer
Choose a swimsuit that provides support and comfort, with a fairly closed back (swimsuits that form an "O" for example.)
Regular swimmer
Choose a jersey that is ultra-resistant to chlorine to avoid changing it too often, with a very clear back allowing great freedom of movement will be the most suitable.
Competitor
There are special jerseys or suits that promote hydrodynamics, made of special and more slippery materials.
You can also opt for a two-piece swimsuit with a strong support for more comfort, freedom and to avoid the inconvenience of tanning marks during your outdoor training.
The choice of a men's swimsuit
You are a occasional swimmer (less than once a week) , you need a comfortable jersey. To do this, use soft materials such as elastane, in which you will feel comfortable. As for the shape, it all depends on the use: you can take a swimsuit if you want to go for a swim in the sea or lake because it is not always allowed in swimming pools. Boxers or swim trunks will be part of your training at the pool. The choice is made according to your wishes.
If you are a regular swimmer, you should choose a chlorine-resistant swimsuit, i.e. one that does not contain elastane. For fitness, a jersey that offers you great freedom of movement and little resistance in the water to improve performance is recommended. You have the choice between a classic swimsuit, a headband swimsuit, a boxer or a long boxer.
If you are an intensive swimmer, choose a swimsuit that is always comfortable, but sheathing, hydrodynamic and without resistance. A polyester jersey, often long, such as the Jammer is therefore recommended. Be careful, if you are a competitive swimmer, you must check that your Jammer reaches above your knee and that it is approved by FINA (International Swimming Federation.) In addition, the goal being to increase your performance, your Jammer must be compressing to ensure good hydrodynamics, light, tear-resistant and ensuring good buoyancy.
