Maintaining a hydraulic fork
To optimise its functioning, it is recommended for a hydraulic fork to be drained every year. The levels are done, the air is inflated, and off you go again!
Tools: Screwdriver / Socket spanner / High pressure pump / Regulator / Oil + jar
Step 2
Unscrew the cartridge with a 24 hexagon socket and a ratchet, so that the used oil can be drained.
Step 3
Drain the used oil into a measuring container. At the same time, inspect the condition of the oil (presence of residue or other).
Step 5
Refit the cartridge using the ratchet and a 24 hexagon socket, while inspecting the condition of the top seal and greasing it lightly.
