Nike Vaporfly Next %
After the Nike Vaporfly 4%, the Swoosh engineers took on the challenge of making an even lighter and faster running shoe. They achieved this by working with Mo Farah and Shalane Flanagan, whose advice and feedback were invaluable. This is the Nike Vaporfly Next %, the latest addition to the Beaverton firm.
All about speed
The outsole with Nike Zoom X cushioning technology ensures exceptional energy return and the addition of a carbon fibre plate will propel you forward and naturally accelerate your pace to go for your records.
New upper
For this Vaporfly Next %, Nike innovates and equips this running shoe with its new Nike Vaporweave upper (it replaces the famous Flyknit). The latter is even lighter and allows your feet to breathe (moisture wicking).
Outstanding adhesion
Because you can't choose the weather, the engineers have worked on a new outsole with patterns that allow to guarantee a grip in all weather conditions and better grip during tight turns.
A unique colourway
This Ekiden colour with hints of blue and yellow pays tribute to the races of the same name that take place every year in Japan. After the green, the neon pink, the "mango", the Ekiden colourway of this Vaporfly Next% will be on the feet of Nike athletes during competitions.
A l'assaut des records
Brought to the competition for the first time by Eliud Kipchoge at the London Marathon at the end of April, the Nike Vaporfly Next % has already broken barriers. By winning in 2h 2'37'' the Kenyan signed the record of the event and the 2nd best marathon time in history. A successful baptism of fire that should call for other records.
