Are Salomon shoes made in France?

Salomon is a French brand founded in 1947 by François Salomon and his son Georges in Annecy, in the French Alps. Their small workshop began by producing ski edges, but after applying for a patent in May '47, son Georges became interested in developing skiing as a hobby. So, in 1979, the first Salomon ski boots were launched which became a resounding success, first in France and then worldwide.

After a long period of Salomon's expertise in ski mounts and skis, the brand also produced their first pair of hiking boots in 1992. Twenty years later, the first trail shoes were also launched by Salomon followed by trail running backpacks in which the brand pioneered the trend of minimal equipment.

Today, Salomon offers a great selection from trail and hiking shoes to backpacks, apparel, accessories, and everything you need for your perfect outdoor adventures.

Are Salomon shoes narrow fitting?

When hiking, it's important to have shoes that run well, in addition to a comfortable outfit.
