Under Armor is an American company specializing in the sportswear sector.

The brand was created in 1996 by Kevin Plank a former American footballer and Kip Fulks, both from the University of Maryland. The reputation of the brand is at first by word of mouth, but it develops very quickly when quarterback Jeff George appears on the cover of USA Today magazine with a clothing of the equipment manufacturer.
