You've just changed your bike's seat post, and you want to take advantage of it to change your saddle too?

The bike saddle is an essential component, since this is where the cyclist sits! Like the handlebars and the pedals, the road saddle is a point of contact between the cyclist and their mount.

The saddle is a piece of bike designed from several elements: the rails, which make it possible to fix the saddle to your seat post. They can be made of titanium, aluminium, steel or even carbon on the most high-end models. And then there is the covering, which covers the whole saddle coating. It's below this coating that the padding is more or less thick depending on the areas of the saddle.

A good bike saddle must be comfortable, to be able to spend long hours of rolling without problems. It's up to the cyclist themselves to make their own opinion on the optimum comfort to have.

Weight is also an important factor for a saddle, especially for those who seek lightness at all costs. It is not uncommon now to find models below 200 grams, thanks to carbon!
However, such low weights can be to the detriment of comfort. It's therefore necessary to find the right weight/comfort ratio.
