What to do if you are in between bike sizes?

If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.

Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
  • If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
  • On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

The Slash 9.8 GX AXS T-Type is a carbon enduro mountain bike that's not afraid of terrifying descents. It features an OCLV Mountain Carbon frame and high-pivot suspension with 170 mm travel to swallow rocks and maintain ideal grip on steep descents and intense climbs. The 29" front and 27.5" rear wheels provide a playful ride, while the upgraded Rockshox suspension package is ready for any challenge. This model is also equipped with a SRAM GX AXS wireless drivetrain that offers precise gear changes, even under duress.

You're looking for a carbon enduro bike that's aggressive on descents and agile on climbs. You're looking for the grip and stability of high-pivot suspension, and you like long travel to absorb big roots and big drops. You like upgrades and love the benefits of a wireless drivetrain and carbon wheels.

An OCLV Mountain Carbon frame with high-pivot suspension and idler, plus internal storage space. Front and rear axle travel of 170 mm, with RockShox ZEB Select+ fork with DebonAir spring and Charger 3 RC2 damping cartridge, and RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ shock absorber. Enough gears for intense climbs thanks to Sram's GX AXS wireless drivetrain, a Bontrager Line Dropper telescopic seatpost and a mix of 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear Bontrager Line Elite 30 Tubeless Ready carbon wheels mounted on a Rapid Drive hub.

For riders looking for carbon performance and a carefully selected set of superior components, the Slash 9.8 GX AXS T-Type is trail-ready. It features 170 mm of travel front and rear, upgraded suspension and drivetrain, and carbon wheels for light climbing and hard descending.
