Description

What size do you need?

Choosing the right sized bike depends on the type of bike, your height, your riding style, and your preference. A correct fitting bike will be more comfortable, more efficient and more fun to ride

Measure yourself accurately

To get started, measure your height and use the size chart available on each product description.

What to do if you are in between bike sizes?

If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.

Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
  • If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
  • On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

The Chase ACT 1.2 (Advanced Carbon Technology) frame uses the most advanced carbon technology to build a BMX racing frame that can not only handle the power of the world's best pros, but also offer perfect feel and isn't too stiff. We've taken the best of the best, ACT 1.0, and made it even better with ACT 1.2 with small but significant improvements.

UCI World Cup wins and USA BMX's Pro #1 title have given credibility to the Chase ACT line of carbon racing frames. Over the past two years, the ACT frame has won more UCI and USA BMX Elite Mens Pro races than any other frame, but we're not resting on our laurels. Over the past year, we've been working hard to achieve the impossible - to make the ACT 1.2 even better. After fine-tuning the design, building samples, testing, modifying and testing again, we think we've done it! Connor Fields and Joris Daudet rode the ACT 1.2 for over 10 months before we felt it was truly improved and ready for sale.

The main improvements are as follows: Adjusting chain clearance for higher gear ratios, improving clearance for more styles of disc brake gauges for use with the optional Elevn Disc adapter, and designing a new look for the ACT 1.2, with a matte finish and glossy graphics.

The ACT 1.2 is engineered with the highest quality carbon fiber, known as UD (uni-directional) carbon fiber. UD has one of the highest tensile strengths of any carbon fiber and is currently the ultimate type of carbon fiber to use for a BMX frame. Tensile strength is the amount of force required to cause the fibers to break, while tensile modulus is a measure of carbon fiber stiffness. We use only UD carbon to build the Chase ACT 1.2 frame to ensure that the frames are of the highest quality available. Not only is it stronger than most carbon fibers, it's also lighter, but all this comes at a higher cost. But when we designed the ACT frames, we were primarily concerned with performance and quality, with price only a secondary consideration.

Features include: Aero seatpost and saddle clamping system, 1-1/8″-1.5″, internal brake cable routing, Press Fit BB86 bottom bracket, 20mm plated dropouts with integrated chain tensioning system with 10mm plate included, and 2 chain tensioning systems - internal and external to give you the adjustment you need to allow you to use the full length of the rear dropout, when using the optional Elevn disc brake adapter.
