The Meybo HSX Alloy is
theperfect choice for those looking for high performance without necessarily opting for a carbon frame. Featuring increased stiffness and cutting-edge technology, this BMX Race frame is the fastest and most powerful of the Dutch brand's aluminum frame range. Light, responsive, stable and rigid, it offers all the benefits you're looking for in a single frame. Its geometry has been specially designed for championship and world cup tracks, offering a perfect balance between handling and stability at very high speeds.
For the 2024 model, several important specifications must be taken
into account. As far as braking is concerned, this frame is only compatible with Flat-Mount calipers. This means that the brake caliper is attached directly to the frame's chainstay. For optimum finish, two fixing screws pass through the rear base of the frame to hold the brake caliper in place. However, this configuration only works with 120 mm discs; the frame is not compatible with 140 mm discs
.Depending on frame size, the bottom bracket changes from the standard BB86 to a BB386. For Expert, Expert XL and Pro sizes, it's a BB86 (Ø 41 mm), while for larger sizes, it's a Pressfit BB386 (Ø 46 mm).
In order to maintain a constant rear chainstay length whatever the development used, this frame comes with a 15 mm thru axle. This considerably increases the rigidity of the rear section of the frame. This configuration requires a rear hub with a 15 mm axle. The axle itself is made of 7005 aluminum, entirely CNC machined. To maintain constant chain tension, Meybo has designed a chain tensioner that ensures optimum transmission whatever the development chosen. To optimize chain tension adjustment with this tensioner, it is advisable to use a chain with half links for more precise adjustment
.In summary, the Meybo HSX Alloy 2024 model features new tubes compared to the previous generation. It's made from top-of-the-range aluminum (6061-T6) with several layers of hydroformed tubing to maximize weight without compromising strength. The rear dropout is designed to accommodate a fixed thru axle and a flat-mount disc brake. Designed and engineered for competition, whether at high speed on a World Cup track or in first place on an indoor circuit, the HSX is a formidable weapon for racing.
