[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so happy with the Deuter - Kid comfort Active SL. I thought that this carrier would only hold little babies. I put my 2 year old son in the carrier he wights 25 lbs and he fit in here perfectly.It fit him like so perfectly and he was so comfortable in the carrier. My son was able to move in the carrier and still had room. I love walking in the Metro Park so this has helped me walk and spend more time with my son. We walk for about a hour. The Decter - Kid Comfort Active SL fit so good on my back and didn't fill heavy at all. The straps fit very nice on my shoulders and made me feel comfortable. Great hiking carrier!!!

CarlieDarling - Perfect Parent Accessory!

This pack is such an integral part of our daily lives that I'd sooner give up our washer/dryer than my Deuter Kid Comfort (which is saying a lot, because small children generate a LOT of dirty laundry)! Parenting is busy in general, but add a full on farm to the mix, as well as a Mom who loves to adventure...and it becomes downright bananas! The Kid Comfort helps me not miss a stride. We were given an earlier, heavier, somewhat bulkier Deuter Kid Carrier from a friend when our babe was just a wee one, and we were full-on obsessed with that one. As in, THIS CANNOT GET ANY BETTER. Then, Deuter goes and makes THIS - the unicorn of baby packs! I love how comfortable it is during ALL our farm chores (schlepping buckets of water to the animals, buying plants, moving fencing, getting seeds in the ground, collecting eggs and running from crazy chickens); I never get finished and think to myself "I can't wait to take this dang thing off". Another plus is how fun it is for our now-18-month old. She can see what we're doing, move her arms freely (to eat snacks, of course), and loves to swing her little feet comfortably in the stirrups. Plus, she's got a lot of room to grow in it! There's also a sweet little zippered pocket on the waist belt so you don't have to go spelunking into your pants pockets or purse for items like keys and your phone, and did I mention YOU DON'T HAVE TO BEG A STRANGER TO HELP YOU GET THIS PACK ON. That's right mamas, you can load up your bundle of joy, her snacks, and her attitude (or is that just me) and safely maneuver her into place without a hitch in your giddyup, courtesy of your muscles and the brilliant kickstand. This pack is comfortable, light, super sweet looking, and so much fun for my toddler that she begs to do the chores. Thanks, Deuter!

EmilyH - Amazing Pack!

I LOVE this pack! My son is two and we used a different pack up until recently and I must say the side entry and foot straps are the perfect thing for a toddler. It fits him so well and he actually loves climbing into the pack by himself. The pack itself is much lighter than other packs which is so important when you start adding a toddler and hiking essentials. Another great thing I've noticed is how well this model fits. I don't have to adjust the straps or move the pack around during long hikes to shift the pressure. It fits perfectly and stays in place the whole time. I honestly can't say enough good things about this pack :)

I'm not a framed-carrier type of gal, but I thought I'd give this one a shot. And I am SO. GLAD. I. DID. Past framed carriers never quite fit my *ahem* girl-ish figure properly, but this one had so many different adjustments to get the fit right. I wore it on a 10 mile day hike and I had zero problems - no neck, shoulder, back, or hip pain! It felt more secure than my regular backpacking pack! It's lightweight, has plenty of room for snacks (my husband couldn't believe how much I could fit in it!), and the side entry system was AWESOME for getting the little guy in and out of it when we took breaks. The added touches of the pull cord on the storage area, the removable piece near where your kiddo drools/eats for easy cleaning, and the little zipper on the waist belt were well-thought-out for functionality. My little guy also loves being in the driver's seat on this one. He loves being able to sit high up and see everything. No complaints from him either! I cannot recommend this product enough - especially for mamas!

Mater - Perfect for more than hiking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little item is a TOTAL JEWEL!! Oh my goodness, you don't need it just for going on hikes either! lol! We put my granddaughter in it to see how she would react and she was on cloud 9! She literally didn't want to get out of it when mommy took it off! But getting back to the review...it's very, very comfortable and easy to maneuver. Although it may look 'bulky' in pictures, it's not. It's very compact, lightweight, and so easy to put baby in and get her/him out along with the fact on how easy it is to put on yourself. The straps that fit over your shoulders are nicely padded and the perfect width so as not to dig in to your shoulder blades when baby is in tow..and the belt around the hip section is ideally made for the comfort of women. (It's so nice that Deuter took into consideration the fact that it's the women that carries the baby in the front for 9 (+/-) months and how uncomfortable that can be for us (though it is a blessing)... that they were able to create this amazing Kid Comfort Fit Active SL Child Carrier so it's easier for us to now carry our wee ones on our backs in COMFORT and security!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I love spending time at the lake hiking and enjoying the fresh air. We usually take a stroller but lately now that my little one ia getting bigger we wanted to climb the rocks and enjoy the waterfalls which is hard to do with a stroller. We then found this product. It's perfect! Easy to put on and very easy to put my little one in and we don't have to worry about her safety. Great company and even greater product!
