The Randonnée is a multi-purpose backpack designed to give good results on winter transitions and alpine traverses. Winter mountaineering is a thrilling activity, but long ski ascents or climbing with a pack on your back make you sweat as your body struggles to lower its temperature. You can end up with a soaked back and shoulders, and get too cold, especially if temperatures drop or the wind blows while belaying or descending. The Dry Back Contact transport system provides a revolutionary solution to this problem. It allows more perspiration per cm² than traditional constructions, and reduces the temperature in the middle of the back by 1.6°C after 15 minutes, thanks to its reduced body contact zone and integrated micro-ventilation system with 3D ventilation channels that allow air to circulate down the back. The result? Greater comfort on long days in the mountains. The Randonnée is also equipped with intelligent solutions that make it the ultimate winter bag. It's made from ROBIC®, a robust nylon that's 60% more tear-resistant than the nylon traditionally used for backpacks, and resists virtually everything from rocks to crampons and ice axes. Tried and tested, its split shoulder strap system offers greater arm mobility than most other backpacks, a significant advantage on long ski and skin ascents or when climbing at height. Functional details such as rope attachments, an ice-axe attachment and numerous ski attachments (parallel and diagonal) enable quick fastening without having to remove the bag. There's also a Fleece-lined pocket for goggles without scratching them, a separate side pocket for wet skins and a special compartment for your shovel and avalanche probe.
